The IT Operations Supervisor II implements internal procedures and guidelines to diagnose and resolve technical issues across different systems and technologies, including hardware, software, and networks. Supervises the implementation and administration of information systems and equipment in accordance with organizational policies and goals. Being an IT Operations Supervisor II develops detailed documentation of methodologies, processes, and specifications of an organization's IT systems and coordinates and schedules IT initiatives. Analyzes business needs and recommends IT hardware and software products to support internal business processes. In addition, IT Operations Supervisor II monitors information systems to ensure computer equipment, hardware, and software operate in alignment with organizational needs and standards. Installs and configures an organization's network infrastructure including LANs, WANs, and wireless networks and monitors network performance. Implements basic security measures to protect systems and data and develops backup strategies and recovery plans. Collaborates with business groups to help utilize information systems to improve operational efficiency. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The IT Operations Supervisor II supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Summary: Responsible for all aspects of site supervision, including participating in the staffing process, hiring, discipline, promotions and terminations, drivers schedules, payroll documentation and managing the Drug and Alcohol Program including pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident testing. This position requires being available to respond during all days and hours of operation to include evenings and weekends as determined by system needs. This position also requires comprehensive knowledge of transit operations, customer relations, and the art of supervision.
Requirements:
Five years increasingly responsible supervisory experience, preferably in public transportation.
Wage Range: $22.58 to $29.47/Hour
Starting Wage: $22.58/Hour (plus a comprehensive benefits program)
