IT Procurement Administrator administers and coordinates activities and processes in the IT procurement function. Prepares RFI's and RFP's based on stakeholder and company requirements. Being an IT Procurement Administrator conducts sourcing activities to evaluate supplier pricing and offerings. Reviews contracts, terms, and service level agreements. Additionally, IT Procurement Administrator inputs and tracks procurement data. Facilitates the planning and coordination of equipment delivery, installations, upgrades, and changes. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The IT Procurement Administrator work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.     Your Mission 

    In this mid-level role, you will report to the Director of IT and Information Security and take on a dual responsibility: ensuring the security and efficiency of our infrastructure while using  best practices in the software development and deployment lifecycle. You will work with the security, IT, and engineering teams, have a strong background in IT administration and a passion for security and automation. Future tasks include exploring opportunities to enhance our DevSecOps procedures.

    Within 1 month, you’ll:

    • Learn about the current IT infrastructure, technologies, processes, and organization structure at Unison
    • Build relationships with our different teams to understand their pain points & key performance indicators (KPIs)

    Within 3 months, you’ll:

    • Troubleshoot issues reported through tickets, email, and slack, in person and remotely, including help desk operations and desktop support
    • Examine the monitoring and logging mechanisms in place to detect and respond to security incidents
    • Create and update documentation as it relates to system configuration and processes

    Within 6 months, you’ll:

    • Assess the efficiency and effectiveness of current tools and processes, then formulate strategies to enhance or maximize the utilization of these systems
    • Convey security standards and best practices to support the engineering team in advancing their processes and practices 
    • Drive cloud-related initiatives aimed at addressing identified security concerns 

    About you

    You are a  skilled and versatile IT Administrator with knowledge in DevSecOps and your experience will include:

     

    IT Administration Responsibilities:

    • Experience with Audio/Video conferencing platforms (Google Meets, Zoom, Teams)
    • Working knowledge of a broad range of hardware such as Server, MacBook, Laptop, Network Switches firewalls, APN, Printers, A/V, and mobile devices.
    • Proven experience troubleshooting complex technical problems in person and remotely
    • Experience with Identity Management (we use Okta)
    • Provide on-site technical support to end-users and resolve IT-related issues
    • Ensure the availability, scalability, and performance of IT systems.

     

    DevSecOps :

    • Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security into the DevOps pipeline.
    • Communicate best practices, such as OWASP Top 10,  to the development and engineering teams.
    • Orchestrate security testing, vulnerability scanning, and code analysis tools and processes.
    • Review code based vulnerability assessments and prioritize remediation of identified issues.
    • Assist the Cloud Assurance Manager in development and maintenance of incident response plans and procedures for security incidents.
    • Determine observability of security events.

     

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
    • Experience in ITIL methodologies
    • Proven experience in IT Administration roles.
    • Understanding of AWS VPC networking protocols and IP management.
    • Experience with Okta, Google Suite, Atlassian Cloud, or equivalent tools
    • Knowledge of DevOps and DevSecOps principles and practices.
    • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., ECS, Docker).
    • Experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., IDS/IPS, SIEM, firewall management).
    • Proficiency in scripting and automation languages (e.g., Python, Shell).
    • Knowledge of security best practices, standards, and compliance requirements.
    • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
    • Certifications such as CompTIA Security , Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Certified DevOps Engineer are a plus.

    • Adaptability and a willingness to learn and stay updated on security trends.

    • Provide after-hours or weekend support in case of an outage & C-Suite support issues.
    • Kneeling, crawling, and other positions access and maintain IT equipment
    • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds of technology-related equipment

    Unison team members are working a hybrid work schedule. This position requires work onsite 2-4 days per week, depending on home office location.  All applicants must be available to work onsite for the minimum days required.
