Job Overview
We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented individuals to become part of our team as Junior Procurement Management Analysts. In this vital role, you will provide procurement support to our esteemed U.S. Navy client, leveraging your business process expertise to assist various commands within the Department of Defense (DoD). This position allows for partial remote work; however, candidates should reside within a reasonable distance from Crane, Indiana, to accommodate on-site meetings and hybrid work arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily program activities and track progress on procurement actions.
- Conduct research and analysis pertaining to procurement challenges.
- Assist in data collection to enforce regulatory and policy guidelines.
- Collaborate with diverse organizations and customers to confirm procurement forms for asset and OM&S accuracy.
- Ensure precise validation of government funding and screen essential sources of supply.
- Enter data into the Navy ERP system.
- Submit and monitor all MILSTRIP and purchase card requisitions, while maintaining a detailed tracking log of transactions.
- Manage the division mailbox and filter incoming requests efficiently.
- Request necessary IT and other determinations to advance procurement requests.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while gathering procurement requirements from government Requiring Technical Authority (RTA) and Technical POCs.
- Verify vendor details for accuracy and ensure compliance with mandatory sources screening when applicable.
- Thoroughly complete and check all PR forms for accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain part numbers with a UMM/NIIN.
- Track metrics for purchase card and MILSTRIP requisitions, staying informed of MILSTRIP advice codes.
- Monitor and report all information until materials are successfully procured.
- Utilize ERP to provide approval information and status updates.
- Share weekly tracking updates with the division.
- Develop, analyze, and maintain procurement data and packages, offering suggestions to enhance quality, schedules, and efficiencies.
- Document meeting minutes, manage documentation, and perform data entry tasks.
- Execute additional duties as assigned by government leadership.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated experience in preparing, interpreting, and presenting data.
- Strong analytical, finance, and computer skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Excel and other MS Office applications.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Capacity to operate under stringent deadlines while managing time efficiently.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is mandatory. Candidates with 4 years of related experience may substitute for formal education.
- Prior experience supporting NSWC Crane is advantageous.
Clearance Requirements
- Candidates must be eligible to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Clearance (U.S. citizenship is required).
