We are looking for a Credit Manager to join our Accounting team. American Direct is looking for motivated individuals to help our organization continue its expansion across the country. If you have the experience and qualifications outlined below, we want to hear from you!
Position Overview
The Credit Manager is the main point of contact for both internal and external customers related to the credit function. The Credit Manager must maintain a corporate credit policy to optimize sales, extend credit and manage a receivables portfolio.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages processes to verify financial status and reputation of prospective customers applying for credit, preparing documents to substantiate findings, to determine rejection or approval of credit applications
- Develops and implements procedures for analyzing the creditworthiness of prospective and current customers
- Develop Credit Department KPI’s in support of organizational goals
- Reviewing and approving requests for credit lines for new and existing customers, along with making final decisions on credit requirements related to quarterly deals or acquired receivables/accounts
- Monitor payments cash application processes
- Follow up with clients to manage debt settlements
- Ensure all lending procedures comply with regulations
- Develop, review and update our company’s credit policies
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- BS in Accounting/Finance or relevant field
- 3-5 years proven work experience as a Credit Manager, Credit Analyst or similar role
- 1-3 years supervisory experience
- Construction industry preferred
- Solid understanding of lending procedures
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to create and process financial spreadsheets (e.g. in Excel)
- Negotiation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
