    Salary: $70,000  

     

    The Education Manager will be responsible for the creation, delivery and continuous improvement of educational programs and professional development initiatives for our members. This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for education and a strong understanding of adult learning principles. This position is responsible for assuring the modern, effective, and efficient delivery of continuous, life-long learning to NAEP’s membership through a variety of program delivery systems, growing educational revenue streams, and creating best in class learning engagements. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with various stakeholders to enhance member engagement and promote lifelong learning. 

     

    Key Responsibilities: 

    • Program Development: Design and implement innovative educational programs, workshops, webinars, and courses that meet the needs of our members. 
    • Curriculum Management: Oversee curriculum development, ensuring alignment with industry standards and member needs. Regularly review and update educational materials. 
    • Needs Assessment: Conduct surveys and assessments to identify member needs and preferences for professional development. 
    • Collaboration: Partner with industry experts, trainers, and educators to deliver high-quality learning experiences. 
    • Marketing and Promotion: Collaborate with the NAEP Marketing Specialist to develop marketing strategies to promote educational offerings and increase member participation. 
    • Budget Management: Manage the education budget, including forecasting expenses and ensuring financial sustainability of programs. 
    • Evaluation and Reporting: Implement evaluation methods to assess the effectiveness of programs and gather feedback for continuous improvement. Prepare reports on educational outcomes and impact. 
    • Technology Integration: Utilize learning management systems (LMS) and other technologies to enhance the delivery of educational content. 
    • Member Support: Serve as a point of contact for members seeking information on professional development opportunities. Provide guidance and support to members pursuing certification and continuing education credits.

    Required Qualifications: 

    • Bachelor’s degree in education, adult learning, instructional design, or a related field. Equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered. 
    • Three (3) years of experience in designing and developing in-person & online education, preferably in a professional development or membership organization. 
    • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies. 
    • Proficiency in using a LMS and other educational technology tools. 
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications – Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint.  
    • Demonstrated attention to detail and proficiency in verbal and written communication skills. 

     

    Preferred Qualification:  

    • Professional experience working with or in the non-profit sector, member-driven association, higher education or procurement/purchasing/supply chain.  
    • Experience with various association software platforms: event management system and/or association management system.  

    Travel Required  

    • Expected to travel a minimum of 3-4 times per year to support events and/or for professional development opportunities  

     

    Essential Functions 

     

    Program Development (40%) 

    Design and implement educational programs, workshops, webinars, and courses tailored to member needs. Partner with industry experts, trainers, and educators to create high-quality learning experiences. Utilize learning management systems (LMS) and other technologies to enhance educational content delivery. 

     

    Curriculum Management (30%) 

    Oversee and update educational materials to ensure alignment with industry standards and member requirements. Work with the Marketing Specialist to develop strategies for promoting educational offerings and increasing member participation. 

     

    Program Assessment (20%) 

    Conduct surveys and assessments to identify the professional development needs and preferences of members. Implement evaluation methods to assess program effectiveness and prepare reports on educational outcomes and impacts. Manage the education budget, including forecasting expenses to ensure financial sustainability. 

     

    Member Support (10%) 

    Serve as a contact point for members seeking information on professional development opportunities and provide support for certification and continuing education credits.
