We are seeking an
IT Program Manager on a
contract basis to support our Customer's business needs. This role is
a hybrid setup (onsite 3 days a week) in Sunnyvale, CA.
The IT Program Manager is responsible for planning and executing complex cross-functional projects that drive scalability in Business Applications. Projects may span a broad range from ideation to evaluation to implementation of new software systems, scaling up for product launches for different geographies, and system upgrades.
This role will provide program management and project leadership for the solution implementation across multiple functional areas and teams in the Business Applications and Operations Portfolio.
As a Program Manager, you will develop a complete plan of record and lead the team in implementing it. You will be responsible for meeting the project dates and ensuring effective implementations over an extended period, supporting the solution roadmap. This would require adhering to the best practices of PMO, finance, quality, and IT.
Responsibilities
- Gain cross-functional alignment for successful project execution and identification. Cross-functional teams include Regulatory, Compliance, Field Service, Customer Service, IT, Testing, Project Quality, Operations, Security, Applications, Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering and other Business Units.
- Experience with RAQA - product registration, submission, and supporting processes preferred
- Work with the project team and key stakeholders, facilitating meetings, assisting in identifying and completing the tasks, and risk mitigation and/or issue resolution
- Manage project schedule, scope, and resource constraints adhering to Project Management methodology and IT change control.
- Partner with the business Project Manager and Vendor Project Manager, if there is one, to promote and leverage Organizational tools and systems of project and program management.
- Actively engage in Change Management and stakeholder engagement for solution adoption, end-user communication, and training.
- Organize and lead core team and executive steering committee meetings.
- Conduct status reporting to the project team and executive leadership.
- Work with IT and Business project owners to ensure business needs are met
- Act as a Testing, Training, Cutover, and OCM lead except where the project size justifies a separate resource for one or more of these roles.
- Provide input for budgets and monitor performance to budgets.
- Manage activities and tasks related to new vendor evaluation, communication, and coordination with internal team and vendors for Product Demos, Security Assessments, MSA, SOW, and POC activities as needed.
Qualifications
- BS or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience involved in leading major cross-functional projects in quality, regulatory, compliance, and manufacturing operations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet, and Box as an end user/basic administrator and general collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom)
- Experience with Veeva vault project implementation is highly preferred.
- Preferred familiarity with Jira, Microfocus qTest, Tableau, and Anaplan applications
- Experience in project management along with a vendor or implementation partner
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Proven ability to lead, influence, and work well at all levels of an organization and in a cross-functional team environment.
- Ability to handle ambiguity effectively and oversee multiple projects at once.
- Medical device experience is a plus.
- Certification in project management (PMP) desired
