Job Summary: Responsible for the ongoing maintenance and development of the various financial software and applications used within the facility as well as new system implementations. The position has the responsibility of working as a liaison and project manager between administration, IT and the financial departments on various projects that are assigned by hospital administration and IT management. Duties include but are not limited to implementation of new applications, maintenance, report writing and user training on assigned HIS (health information system) modules and applications, which may include but are not limited to Meditech's Billing/Accounts Receivable, Abstracting, Materials Management, Payroll/Personnel, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Admissions, and LSS modules.
Requirements: Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft products required. Advanced level preferred. Must be able to meet the public in a direct and professional manner. Previous work history that demonstrates steady attendance and punctuality is required. An Associate's Degree (or equivalent) with an emphasis in Information Systems or IT Business Applications preferred. In lieu of a degree, the candidate must possess relevant experience above and beyond the education requirements. One or more year's previous acceptable experience working in a healthcare business related environment and beginning to immediate computer skills with Healthcare Information System financial, payroll or business modules required. Meditech HIS preferred.
