Taylor Farms Colorado is part of a national company, with this location being in Colorado Springs. Taylor Farms is the leader in packaged salad industry, and our operation in Colorado Springs has been in business for over 30 years. We process a variety of fresh-cut produce.
The Quality Assurance Manager participates in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Food Safety Management System. This includes, but is not limited, to the following; regulatory compliance, 3rd party audits, QA department staffing, and a cross-functional infusion of a Food Safety Culture.
This position will report to the FSQA Director.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Per established schedules, the QA Manager shall assist in the review, verification, and validation of the food safety system management system.
Direct and manage the documentation produced by personnel in food safety.
Ensure quality systems are implemented and followed to meet company goals for product quality and food safety.
Assist with third party audits.
Ensure employees are following Good Manufacturing (GMP’s) and adhering to Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) mandates.
Schedule and administer food safety and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point training.
Oversees QA supervisor and approximately 6 QA technicians.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years experience in food production with an emphasis in Food Safety and Quality Assurance. Management experience is preferred. Bilingual Spanish/ English is preferred. Preventative Control Qualified Individual (PCQI) preferred. SQF experience/ certification preferred.
Compensation
$55,000 to $70,000/year depending on experience 10% annual bonus.
