Job Description: Quality Engineer

Summary:

As a Quality Engineer at our PCBA Contract Manufacturing facility, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of product quality and process improvement. Working closely with the General Manager, Quality Manager, and production personnel, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives, implement quality control procedures, support internal and external audits, and contribute to the success of our manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with customers and production teams to conduct risk assessments and provide feedback on design for manufacturability (DFM) to improve product quality.
• Lead root cause analysis investigations for non-conformities, customer complaints, RMAs, and other quality issues, implementing effective corrective and preventive actions where applicable.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track product quality, process efficiency, and overall performance and report on those KPIs
• Analyze quality data, providing actionable insights to drive continuous improvement and reduce defects.
• Conduct internal audits to assess compliance with quality management systems and drive process improvements.
• Work with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials and resolve any quality-related issues.
• Collaborate with the Quality Manager to maintain and update quality documentation, including inspection procedures, test protocols, and work instructions.
• Support customer and compliance audits by providing necessary documentation and information to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Lead continuous improvement projects in the areas of AOI, final inspection, and our manufacturing control software.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Quality Engineer or other dedicated Quality function. Preferably in an electronics manufacturing or related environment.
• Understanding of quality management systems, methodologies, and industry standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO

9001, IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, IPC-A-600, etc.).

• Knowledge of electronic components, PCB assembly processes, and related quality challenges.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to work collaboratively with diverse coworkers.
• Ability to work independently while managing and prioritizing varying tasks.
• Experience with FactoryLogix is a plus.
• Willingness to travel but would be minimal.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $36,217.72 - $60,000.00 per year
