Sales Executive Job Description
Overview
Simplex-IT, located in Stow, Ohio, is an award winning IT Managed Services Provider on the local Weatherhead 100 and MSP 501 Global list, providing Managed IT support solutions since 2007. We have an exciting sales opportunity for a highly motivated person who wants to grow in their sales career with a leading company in a mission-critical, progressive industry. We are focused on helping our small to mid-sized business clients succeed by understanding their unique information technology requirements and developing solutions that support their current IT needs while also planning for the future.
The Position
This is a unique position that will be focused on transitioning sales from our CEO to you. You’ll be learning the Simplex-IT way of consultative sales, which is friendly, educational, and even humorous at times. You don’t have to meet every requirement on this list, but you do have to want to grow into it with us, and we’ll work together to determine an appropriate ramp-up plan. In this role, you will be counted on to represent Simplex-IT in the most favorable manner as you will be on the front lines of preparing future clients for their experience with our firm. This position is a cross-team one in which you will work with both sales and marketing, as well as our technical team and leadership, to achieve our company’s sales goals. Primary Responsibilities:
Prospecting & New Account Acquisition Responsibilities
● Use a consultative sales approach to identify, qualify, and develop new business, in a way that focuses on educating buyers and forming strong relationships.
● Be obsessively helpful, answer questions, and alleviate concerns and issues that prospects have about buying IT services, in an open and honest way.
● Attend conferences, meetings, and industry/networking events and work to grow the Simplex-IT brand awareness.
● Understand and execute our defined sales process using our CRM to nurture leads and close new accounts.
● Present Simplex-IT offerings to potential clients as it aligns to their needs. Conduct initial presentations, as well as follow-ups.
● Send detailed follow-up emails recapping meetings, overviewing our solution, and describing actionable next steps.
● Meet assigned quotas for activities in various stages of the sales funnel.
● Stay up-to-date as an SME in our industry and be knowledgeable about our offerings.
Candidate Requirements
● Hungry for success, tenacious in goal achievement, resilient to rejection, and positive in the face of overcoming challenges. Sales can be daunting sometimes.
● Working knowledge of the sales cycle and Buyer's Journey specific to IT decision-makers.
● Basic understanding of IT terminology and ability to effectively communicate with IT leaders as well as C-suite personnel.
● Embrace phone sales, coaching, daily structure, self-improvement, and the importance of being accountable to KPIs.
● Excellent communication, negotiation, critical thinking, and time-management skills.
● Strong telephone and face-to-face presentation skills; ability to listen well and the ability to create sales opportunities.
● Self-starter with a solid work ethic and the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
● Proven success of consistently achieving and/or exceeding monthly sales revenues goals/quota
● Working knowledge of CRM software and Microsoft Office
● Ability to travel locally in Northeast Ohio

● Able to hold other others accountable and keep to deadlines.
● Has a good sense of humor and is able to see the value comedy brings to the sales cycle.

● Owns the sales process and does what it takes to make it successful.
● Proven experience in working with a team, with a mindset and goal in developing the working environment.

For all positions, we offer:
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $25,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year salary plus uncapped commission. A realistic expectation for this position would be around $60,000-$80,000, once you're up and running, but the sky's the limit. We have a very clear and attainable commission structure designed so we all succeed.
