RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
IT Security Specialist with demonstrates knowledge in IT security.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Three years of experience
• Possess security certification such as – Certified Information Systems Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacking (CEH), or equivalent.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Federal regulations and standards, such as the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), Security Publication 800-53, standards and guidance published by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Security Publications.
• Experience with conducting security assessments, developing system requirements, preparing security plans, risk assessments, security evaluation reports, security controls assessment, support the continuous monitoring of all information security, including activities associated with acquisition and development efforts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products to include Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Position will be remote with the exception of 2-3 trips a year to Maryland

Responsibilities of this position also include, but are not limited to:

• Attending mandatory, annual training sessions
• Providing regular status reports to management summarizing progress, challenges, metrics, and recommendations
• Collaborating with team members to ensure effective communication and coordination
• Attending recurring team meetings or huddles
• Assisting in the development of new initiatives
