IT Specialist

This opportunity is a uniquely rewarding, challenging position for individuals interested in working as a part of a professional team utilizing the latest in computer technology. The Information Technology (IT) Specialist’s role is to ensure proper system operation so that end users can accomplish business tasks. This includes receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving end user help requests. Problem resolution may involve the use of diagnostic and help request tracking tools, as well as require that the individual give in-person, hands-on help at the desktop level. This includes routine maintenance and computer troubleshooting of PCs, file servers, routers, computer infrastructure, receiving and transmitting equipment, printers, scanners, monitors, cables, wire management, phones, and all related software.

Formal Education, Certification/Licensure, & Other Requirements

1. Associate’s degree in the field of computer science preferred or:

2. High school graduate or GED with 1-year equivalent work experience

3. A and Network Certifications

4. Valid WV Driver's License in good standing and access to a personal vehicle

5. Must be able to pass all required background checks.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to perform light work – exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• See, hear, talk and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity; kneel, sit, stand, walk, crouch, stoop, reach, pull, push and other similar, repetitive tasks requiring physical activity.
• Ability to travel as needed to various office locations.
• Frequent communications, verbal and written.

Pay: $38,450.12 - $46,305.52 per year
