PURPOSE AND FUNCTIONS:
Management and oversight of the Information Systems department of the company. Provides information systems support to enable staff to take better advantage of technology for efficiency and quality improvements by providing systems support to all levels of employees in all facets of company operations. Supervises Information Systems Support Assistant, Database Coordinator, and Maintenance Technician.
GENERAL ATTENDANCE: Attendance requirements are from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. As a Department Director, this position may require additional hours based on job load and business need.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Maintains quality customer service through researching and implementing proven information systems and technology advancements/enhancements within the company.
· Interfaces with outside resources to provide advanced information systems support and consultation.
· Configures and updates desktop operating systems and applications, installing software and upgraded applications as necessary.
· Diagnoses and repairs hardware and software problems in support of company operations either telephonically or on-site.
· Provides technical support to end users regarding both hardware and software applications issues.
· Maintains inventory as well as accountability and control of operation systems hardware and software as well as equipment ancillary to systems use.
· Trouble-shoots problems related to MS Office and associated products.
· Backs up operating systems consistent with internal processes.
· Coordinates with outside vendors to ensure software licensing and hardware is current, appropriate and tracked.
· Assists other departments to meet operational deadlines.
· Serves as a member of Strategic Alliance Team to ensure alignment of organizational strategies and focus on meeting the needs of our customers.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION:
High School diploma or equivalent and five-years related experience required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:
· Proficiency in Windows, NT and EXP Pro required
· .A , N , Microsoft certifications a plus.
· Valid unrestricted driver’s license required
· Familiarity with a variety of printers (Laser & Ink Jet, Dot Matrix) and other support hardware necessary.
· Supervisory skills required.
· Strong oral and written communications skills required.
· Must be able to work independently with a high level of initiative and have good decision-making skills.
· Must be a results-oriented problem solver organized and detail oriented and be able to manage multiple projects in response to tight deadlines and short time frames.
· Must possess leadership abilities and appropriately manage both people and resources.
· Must be able to understand defined problems and research/collect data to establish facts and support conclusion in the decision making process. Experience with WAN, Crystal Reports, MS Office 365 and both the Internet and Intranets highly desired.
