Director, IT Strategy & Operations | 100% Remote Opportunity
General Summary:
The IT Strategy & Operations Director ensures the streamlined operations of the Technology, Product, and Data & Analytics Departments in alignment with the business objectives of the organization. This individual will plan, coordinate, direct, and design technology related activities of the organization across peers and executives, as well as provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities, metrics, OKRs, KPIs, operating model implementation. The IT Director will work closely with the CIO, and technology VPs as well as decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support an operating model that delivers cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. This person will also define and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices. The breadth of responsibility of an IT Director extends to include a deep understanding of the business process, function, and strategy and a strong liaison with the business leaders. The breadth of responsibility spans multiple business functions and departments, and includes identifying future organizational needs, upskilling, and accountability for tracking and achieving department objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Focus on the end-to-end software and data operational processes to eliminate manual intervention, streamline process creating efficiency and reducing cycle time.
- Partner with CIO and CIO direct reports to design and implement an operating model that matures product management, improves data and delivers best in class solutions and enhancements to Operation teams, closing any identified gaps.
- Understand, analyze and drive transformational decisions based on data. Be able to identify and track appropriate OKRS, KPIs and other metrics that determine the health of the organization, while being able to communicate outside and across the organization leveraging that data.
- Partner with peers to update and optimize operational processes and lead process reengineering campaigns to drive improved efficiency and effectiveness.
- Work closely with technology and business partners to develop strategies that achieve business targets, improve technical landscape, and help create opportunities for the business.
- Identify opportunities and create recommendations for digitization and automation including but not limited to RPA and Workflow Management opportunities.
- Develop and implement relevant operating model changes in order to pivot the organization towards digitization and enhanced client experience.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and cultivating a robust service and control environment.

Job Requirements:
- 10 years of experience in the financial, technology, or consulting industry, change management, process re-engineering or client onboarding role specifically with strategy or operational experience.
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience. Master’s degree preferred.
- Track record of implementing operational metrics and dashboards to support strategic decision making.
- Strong familiarity with process management, six sigma, process flow diagramming and governance.
- Experience program managing large scale global and complex initiatives and implementations.
- Ability to effectively partner with business leaders, technology partners, senior management.
- Strategic thinker and visionary who can also roll up sleeves to ensure proper execution.
- Exceptional written & verbal communication skills.
- Very strong presentation, communication, PowerPoint & Excel skills
- Excellent leadership and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated organization skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a high-volume environment while maintaining adherence to deadlines and priorities.
- Self-motivated and directed, proactive and action-oriented, must demonstrate personal accountability.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for the requirements listed above.
Key Required Competencies
- Strong knowledge and experience working with large data sets, determining the key data points and being able to concisely summarize it for senior management.
- Knowledgeable with creating dashboards/KPIs including using key industry tools such as SharePoint, AWS Quicksight, and other reporting tools.
- Project Management experience in working in Waterfall / AGILE methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of process flow diagramming and knowledge of relevant tools.
- Strong expertise in both PowerPoint & Excel (Advanced).

Work Environment:
- Remote: This role is remote, and only open to candidates currently located in the United States and able to work without sponsorship.
- It requires a suitable space that provides a private and quiet workplace.
- Expected Work Hours: Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
- Travel: May be required to travel to off-site location(s) to attend meetings, as necessary
