IT Vendor Management Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day administration of technology vendor relationships and serves as the organization's point of contact to ensure smooth performance of operations. Assists vendor selection by reviewing and evaluating requests for proposals and contracts. Being an IT Vendor Management Analyst monitors compliance with service level agreements to ensure performance/quality metrics, responsibilities, and expectations are met. Develops dashboards, reports, and presentations to track vendor performance. Additionally, IT Vendor Management Analyst proactively identifies areas where performance is at risk and collaborates with vendors to establish service quality mitigation strategies.     Position Description:

    Develops data visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, and R. Migrates data and performs Extract Transform Load (ETL) using SQL, Python, and Nifi. Reports and analyzes complex data environments --  enterprise data warehouses, DataMarts, and Operational Data Stores (ODS). Performs complex data modeling and analysis to connect, join, and compile data into impactful strategy recommendations. Defines internal requirements for data controls, monitoring, and exception reporting for process governance. Provides strategy recommendations based upon insights derived from available enterprise data and industry practices.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Extracts, redefines, and loads data from disparate sources, systems, and platforms.
    • Executes complex data gathering, trending, reporting, and analysis on data and metrics.
    • Writes clean, testable, readable, and easily maintainable code and associated documentation.
    • Crafts data visualizations and reports to support business needs.
    • Interprets and analyzes data related to Cloud technologies.
    • Synthesizes data analysis into multifaceted data visualizations and presentations for management.
    • Creates and manages data pipelines and warehouses to support reporting requirements.
    • Researches strategic insights and practical recommendations for management.
    • Develops, documents, and revises system design procedures, test procedures, and quality standards.
    • Consults with management to ensure agreement on system principles
    • Develops functional and non-functional system requirements, training materials and implementation plans.
    • Mentors junior team members.

    Education and Experience:

    Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience as a Principal IT Data Analyst (or related occupation) performing data analysis, data engineering, and scripting using Python and SQL.

    Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Principal IT Data Analyst (or related occupation) performing  data analysis, data engineering, and scripting using Python and SQL.

    Skills and Knowledge:

    Candidate must also possess:

    • Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) analyzing large-scale data to detect patterns, trends, and nuances using Snowflake; gathering data from disparate sources and executing data parsing; summarizing, visualizing, and simplifying data loading by designing clean data models using Python; and deploying ETL pipelines using data querying, modeling, SQL, Linux, and Cronjob.
    • DE designing large data sets and implementing pre-aggregations to avoid data consolidation as a part of larger data strategy initiatives; processing and preparing data for analytical insights using Snowflake modeling patterns; planning, designing, and implementing diverse Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards to visualize data using Power BI, Tableau, and MS Excel.
    • DE designing relational databases, data models, and optimizing process automation to minimize manual interventions using MySQL; developing/documenting data architecture and strategies -- extracting, transforming, and analyzing unstructured/semi-structured data – using JSON/XML feed content from websites, customer-entered feedback (surveys and online interactions), measured user consumption, click rates, and engagement activity.
    • DE creating data marts and flows and paginated reports to maximize utilization and transparency using Power BI features; managing and comparing existing data models and schemas to analyze performance and scope improvements using Snowflake; and developing REST API and automating ETL process using Postman and Python.
