Janitorial Supervisor supervises the cleaning and maintenance of buildings/facilities. Trains and supervises the custodial staff to maintain an orderly, safe, and efficient cleaning operation. Being a Janitorial Supervisor orders, stocks and replenishes supplies, and provides the tools and equipment needed to perform required maintenance. May require a high school diploma. Additionally, Janitorial Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor. IMMACULATE FACILITY SERVICESSupervisor – Janitorial ServicesPosition Objective: This position is responsible for supervising a staff of 10-15 associates and team leaders in performing all cleaning activities while servicing assigned areas in offices, break rooms, bathrooms and floors in a warehouse facility. Position works rotating weekends.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide immaculate cleaning services throughout the warehouse facility to meet client’s satisfaction.
- Oversee and supervise all cleaning by monitoring and inspecting overall activities and processes.
- Develop and maintain an effective organization through the training, motivation and review of all cleaning staff.
- Train staff in job skills, proper cleaning methods, operation of equipment and other various duties
- Make rounds to ensure crew coverage of designated work areas, give specific cleaning instructions/ assignments as needed.
- Prepare work schedules, conduct performance evaluations, coach/counsel, and recommend other disciplinary actions as needed.
- Maintain and update the daily team record (timekeeping/work schedules) and reports on a daily basis.
- Ensure Company policies and procedure are adhered to by all associates.
- Resolve problems and discrepancies to amend issues.
- Instill and maintain work-flow philosophy in all employees, and lead by example.
- Respond to specific cleaning requests regarding jobs as needed.
- Perform Quality Control Checks and walk-throughs before leaving every client's facility. Redirect cleaning as needed.
- Participate in cleaning activities.
- Attend and participate in meetings as required.
Qualifications:- High School diploma; some college preferred
- 1-2 years prior cleaning, sales or supervisory experience in industrial setting
- Technical knowledge/use of cleaning equipment, products, techniques, standards, and practices
- Must have basic computer knowledge.
- Leadership – Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results.
- Planning- Ability to perform short- and long-range planning.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Must be flexible with changing hours and schedules.
- Physical efforts required by the job includes walking, standing, bending, stooping, pulling, pushing, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to multitask.
- Meet Certification/Licenses requirements.
