Jig and Fixture Builder assembles a variety of standard and non-standard major jigs, fixtures and related tooling. Ensures jigs function appropriately with complex angles or contours. Being a Jig and Fixture Builder is responsible for determining methods and sequence of operations and scheduling work to be performed from tool design drawings. Designs and creates jig and fixture details and holding devices. Additionally, Jig and Fixture Builder may be required to verify accuracy and quality in accordance with established control procedures. Requires a high school diploma in a related area with certification in the field. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Jig and Fixture Builder works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. SUMMARY
Our Sun & Ski Sports store is seeking a Bike Builder-Mechanic-Tech. We have an awesome opportunity for all cycling enthusiasts! If you love bikes, get along well with all kinds of folks, and are generally stoked, come join our team!
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure you deliver exceptional Customer Service that is consistent and beyond expectations.
- Perform assembly and adjustment in an accurate and timely manner, while maintaining the integrity of the bike.
- Complete paperwork and logs correctly and completely.
- Report any discrepancies and follow the process to correct quickly and accurately
- Communicate any manufacturers' defect, damage, or missing parts prior to bike build.
- Communicate any unusual problems that may need further assistance in order to complete the bike build in a timely manner and with high standards.
- Adhere to safety procedures regarding lifting and use of tools and equipment.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to work at least 28 hours per week
- Ability to work quickly, efficiently, and accurately.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of all bike-building standards for various models.
- Basic computer skills.
- Preferred : Bike industry, retail, and / or Customer Service experience.
