Assistant Commercial Construction Project Manager

• Support the Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, and Superintendent in the successful completion of projects from bid preparation through post-construction
• Coordinate, attend, & take minutes at all on-site job conferences and subcontractor coordination meetings
• Cultivate relationships with Inspection Agencies, Architects, Engineers, Interior Designers, Subcontractors, Owners, etc.
• Help pull building permits, organize paperwork, and schedule inspections
• Assist with cost management responsibilities
• Visit local job sites within 90 minutes or work from an on-site office
• Manage the RFI and submittal processes

Our Ideal Assistant Commercial Construction Project Manager

• Experienced: A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, or related Engineering discipline or 1-3 years of experience in the Commercial Construction industry. Strong math skills, including Algebra and Geometry, are needed.
• Great Communicator: Ability to actively listen, ask questions, and effectively communicate that information to others.
• Problem-Solver: Someone who identifies complex problems, develops options, and implements solutions while working collaboratively with a team.
• Detail-oriented: Able to think analytically, remember details, and pay high attention to accuracy across multiple projects.
• Team Player: Humble enough to admit mistakes; driven to deliver exceptional results; keeps a great attitude and enjoys working as part of a team.
• Computer Savvy: Strong computer skills and ability to learn construction-related software are needed; previous experience with Procore or other job costing software is preferred.
• Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license and a reasonably clean driving record for three years.
