Job Developer supports social services clients in job searching and placement. Establishes and maintains working relationships with employers, industry organizations, and public agencies to source job openings and secure employment and vocational training opportunities for clients. Being a Job Developer evaluates individual's background, skills, and interest and matches to potential job openings or training programs. Coaches and prepares candidate for interview and entry into the workforce. Additionally, Job Developer may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Job Developer occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. New Hope is hiring for a Job Developer in which the qualified applicant would assist individuals with disabilities in the community employment program through Discovery, evaluation and supports to gain integrated, competitive employment.
Must possess the ability to communicate and work effectively with people by understanding needs and providing guidance and support.
Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent experience, preferably in human services education, human resources, marketing or sales. Must hold or be willing to earn a nationally recognized certification as an employment specialist: CESP (Certified Employment Support Professional).
Must have a good driving record and insurable under New Hope's insurance.
