Job Overview
At the Patty Mac CPA (The Beer Accountant), we’re looking for a talented tax specialist to work in tandem with our accounting team. In this role, the tax specialist will help design and implement tax policies and strategies, and evaluate managerial processes to ensure compliance with relevant statutes and regulatory codes. The role also requires tax planning and reporting, including the filing of corporate tax returns. The ideal candidate is an analytical, detail-oriented professional who enjoys solving complex tax-related issues.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Ensure that partnerships, S and C corporate tax-return preparation meets all regulatory requirements
• Conduct thorough research on tax issues to provide accurate guidance.
• Assist in regulatory reporting and maintain accurate records of all transactions.
• Collaborate with clients to develop effective tax strategies that align with their financial goals.
• Utilize financial software, including QuickBooks, for efficient record-keeping and reporting.
• Support budgeting processes by analyzing tax implications of various financial decisions.
• Suggest new policies and procedures for improving the collection of tax information from relevant clients

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience in corporate accounting or tax preparation is highly desirable.
• Professional certification (CPA preferred)
• Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Familiarity with financial software applications, particularly QuickBooks.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding tax-related matters.

Working Conditions

Working hybrid, at home and light travel to meet clients. This includes sitting for prolonged periods of time at a computer screen.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $82,000.00 per year
