Junior Appraiser jobs in Canton, OH

• Review general ledger for reasonableness of recorded transactions
• Prepares month end reconciliations
• Fixed asset reporting
• Prepare and post monthly journal entries
• Investment portfolio reporting
• Update pledged collateral as needed
• Other annual reporting as needed
• Maintains knowledge of organizational procedures, federal and state regulations and accounting standards
• Analyzes financial data, making recommendations as appropriate to improve accuracy, efficiency and to reduce costs
• As appropriate, identifies and recommends updates to accounting systems and procedures
• Assists as needed with preparation of annual financial reports
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Characteristics/Requirements:

• Associates degree in Accounting preferred, and/or two years related experience, pursuing Associates degree
• Excellent and highly accurate math and accounting skills
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting
• Understanding of an ability to adhere to GAAP
• Proficient with accounting software
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
