Prepares samples to be shipped to a reference laboratory, following all specimen transport regulations; and completes CLIA-waived laboratory testing Verifies correct sample type, labeling, and transport criteria for reference lab samples Prepares samples for transport according to regulations;
consulting with technicians / technologists concerning sample requirements when needed Scans reported results into Electronic Health Record (EHR) upon receipt of results from reference laboratory Completes CLIA-waived laboratory testing and enters results into EHR under the supervision of a laboratory technician / technologist
Performs clerical duties for the front desk, admission processes, and maintenance of laboratory documents Responsible for monitoring and directing calls coming into the department Communicates appropriate information to the patient, lab staff, and interdisciplinary areas with excellent customer service Responsible for dispatching phlebotomists as requested Completes and verifies all lab registration processes on patients Responsible for entering physician orders into the Electronic Health Record system accurately and in a timely manner Fills supply orders for laboratory clients and clinics Responsible for distribution of reports and maintaining of laboratory documents and records
Required Qualifications :
Education : High school diploma or equivalent.
