Position Title: Department Coordinator

General Purpose:
The Department Coordinator provides comprehensive administrative support within a department and serves as the principal assistant to leadership roles. They handle advanced and complex assignments independently, offering work leadership to support staff. This role involves processing highly confidential administrative information with limited supervision, exercising independent judgment, and maintaining a high level of discretion.

Knowledge & Experience:

• Associate's degree and a minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience in administrative support, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, FileMaker Pro, virtual collaboration tools (Zoom, Box), Adobe, etc.
• Familiarity with office procedures, database entry principles, customer service, public relations principles, math, mailing and distribution methods, training principles, leadership, intermediate to advanced budget administration, inventory and supply maintenance principles, and event planning.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
• Intermediate knowledge of hardware and software functionality is preferred.
