TAYS is seeking a LAN/Desktop Support Specialist to join our talented team. This role is responsible for providing technical support to ensure the availability and reliability of network infrastructure, PCs (desktops and laptops), office equipment (including faxes, phones, and printers), and software systems. This role encompasses setup, management, maintenance, and troubleshooting of LAN and PC/laptop performance and security. Additionally, you will be involved in the setup, testing, and monitoring of new systems and applications prior to implementation. New user/new hire laptop setup and support for user moves are integral aspects of this role. Utilizing tools such as Active Directory and Remote Desktop Software, you will communicate with customers to troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively.
This position is permanent, W2 position and will consist of a hybrid schedule. The LAN/Desktop Support Specialist must be local to the DMV area.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Install, modify, monitor, test, and troubleshoot personal computer hardware and software.

Provide technical support to maintain the availability and reliability of the company network, PCs, and software systems.

Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN performance and security.

Support problem resolution, consultation, administration, and training for technical matters across systems, hardware, and software.

Perform pilot testing and monitor new systems and applications through post-implementation.

Conduct software and hardware upgrades and rollouts.

Utilize Help Desk ticketing system to manage daily workflow.

Escalate unsolved problems to senior staff or management.

Report weekly service desk ticket statistics to management.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline with 5 - 10 years of relevant professional experience.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Current/Active Public Trust Clearance or higher.
