    ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS:

    Responsibilities:

    · Travel to and supervise multiple sites during the course of a day.

    · Hire, train, and general manage all employees on project(s).

    · Monitor performance of sub-contractors and staff.

    · Monitor project budget.

    · Allocate resources, materials, sub-contractors and other staff.

    · Determine labor requirements and dispatch workers to construction sites.

    · Direct and supervise other workers, obtain all necessary licenses and permits, evaluate construction methods, and determine the cost-effectiveness of each plan.

    · Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, as well as interpret and explain contract terms and plans to co-workers, staff, and clients.

    · Accomplish project goals be defining scope and purpose of the project, determine required resources, allocate resources, establish protocols and standards, schedule staff, resolve design problems, evaluate deadline estimates and adjust as needed, and implement change orders.

    · Coach and discipline employees, adhere to procedures and policies, recommend compensation; and communicate job expectations.

    · Assist in meeting construction budget by helping to identify variances, and monitoring project expenses.

    · Meet operational standards by resolving problems, contributing information to strategic plans, and identifying improvements.

    · Maintain healthy and safe work environment by enforcing procedures and standards and complying with legal regulations.

    · Prevent interruptions and fines by enforcing and fulfilling codes.

    Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

    · 5-7 years experience in general construction, landscape construction experience preferred.

    · 5 years experience supervising construction projects required.

    · Hoisting License preferred.

    · Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record.

    · A positive attitude and willingness to encourage co-workers.

    · Strong work ethic.

    · Ability to set priorities effectively and exercise flexibility where necessary.

    · Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.

    · Understanding of proper safety procedures and recognition of hazards.

    · Outstanding verbal skills.

    · Demonstrated ability to manage others.

    · Flexible schedule to accommodate extended needs of the business, as may be required.

    · Strong business acumen.

    · Committed to customer service and satisfaction.

    · Bilingual (Spanish/Portuguese) a plus.

    *In order to be eligible, any present Greenscape employee may refer a candidate who has never worked for us before, and both the current employee and the referred candidate must successfully complete 45 days.
