Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Crew Supervisor to lead our team in executing various projects effectively and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of surveying techniques, and proficiency in relevant software tools. This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure that all tasks are completed to the highest standards while maintaining safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the crew, ensuring adherence to project timelines and objectives.
- Conduct field surveys and data collection using advanced tools such as Trimble and Carlson.
- Utilize GIS and CAD software, including ArcGIS and Civil 3D, for drafting and design purposes.
- Train team members on best practices in surveying techniques and equipment usage.
- Review project plans and specifications to ensure compliance with required standards.
- Perform algebraic calculations related to surveying tasks as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including data collection results and project progress reports.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed on-site to promote a safe working environment.
Experience
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the surveying or construction industry is preferred.
- Proficiency in GIS, CAD, Trimble, Carlson, Civil 3D, and ArcGIS is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of algebraic principles as they relate to data analysis and surveying tasks.
- Experience with field surveys and data collection methodologies is essential.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
