    • Provide leadership, technical advice, and assistance to Field Office supervisors and resources staff. Directs field office resource management activities so they remain consistent with BLM goals, objectives, and policies.

Coordinating land and resource planning and management with stakeholders from the public and private sector; conducting public relations and awareness activities that emphasize Bureau and cooperative programs and accomplishments. Managing personnel in accordance with merit principles and EEO guidelines; establishing policies and goals for employees to accomplish organizational and professional objectives; selecting, training, evaluating, and mentoring employees, including initiating disciplinary action when necessary.

    Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
