Land Surveyors Supervisor supervises a staff who surveys and investigates land surfaces to project precise measurement and location of lines, angles, points, areas, and elevations. Ensures the staff performs project research, boundary calculations, and records accuracy of survey data, notes, and sketches. Being a Land Surveyors Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty or in a related area. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Land Surveyors Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. Land Surveying Instrument Operator

  • R&R is seeking a highly motivated and reliable candidate for an entry level survey position. This position allows someone with no experience to learn the many facets of surveying. Working alongside a Survey Crew Chief, you will quickly become a valuable part of the team. Candidates should enjoy mornings (or not - just need to be at work on time), working outside in all weather conditions and being a part of a team. The ability to take direction from others will build towards the success and advancement of this position. This position will assist the Survey Crew Chief with daily survey tasks, involving but not limited to all phases of a construction site as well as the surveying of properties.   

    No previous experience is required for performing work as a Survey Rodman, but the desire to learn about survey equipment and the survey industry will give you the ability to make a career at R&R Engineers-Surveyors.

    Responsibilities:

    • Support Survey Crew Chief in all aspects of survey field work.
    • Take and follow directions, completing tasks as directed, supporting survey activities.
    • Activities will include setting up and operating survey equipment, and staking out the site
    • Performs a variety of routine tasks with guidance from the Survey Crew Chief  

    Requirements:

    • No experience required - if you are willing to learn, we'll teach you! 
    • Valid Driver's License and Clean Driving Record
    • Basic Math Skills are certainly helpful
    • A "teamwork" attitude will help you be successful in this position  

    Physical Requirements:

    • Walking, kneeling, squatting and frequent lifting of up to 40 pounds
    • Ability to swing a hammer
    • Ability to withstand all weather conditions and temperatures. We live in Colorado, so be prepared for all the elements (sometimes all in the same day!).  

    Job Type:  Full-time

    Pay: $18.00 - $23 per hour
