  • We, Monument Resources, LLC, a leader in land services in East Texas and surrounding areas, are seeking multiple experienced Title Landmen to join our team. This candidate must possess exceptional attention to detail, and a desire to apply skills fundamental to researching the ownership of minerals, royalty, and working interest.

    This is an independent contractor position. Daily rate will be determined based on experience and qualifications during the interview process.

    Duties and Responsibilities:
    - Research county records to determine surface and mineral ownership, royalty interest, working interest, and leasehold
    - Review and cure title defects brought forth within title opinions or personal title examination
    - Review, edit, and negotiate land related documents such as oil and gas leases, amendments, assignments, joint operating agreements, unit declarations, and title curative documents
    - Due diligence processes for mineral acquisition
    - Prepare title reports

    Skills:
    - Knowledge of oil and gas leases, leasehold, and working interest
    - Ability to analyze a high volume of transactions while meeting aggressive deadlines
    - Superior attention to detail and exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
    - Familiarity with various mineral interests and their effect on title
    - Ability to work effectively in a team environment to meet company and client goals
    - Ability to self-start and work with minimum supervision - Proven experience with complicated title and contract negotiations
    - High personal and professional moral code

    Education and Qualifications:
    - 5 years of experience as a Title Landman
    - Bachelor's degree (preferred)
    - Ability to travel as needed
    - 2 years of Microsoft Office and Outlook experience
