Landscape Architect assists in the development of exterior spaces and physical environments. Aids in preparing overview of final project design drawings and specifications. Being a Landscape Architect requires a bachelor's degree in related field. Typically reports to a Landscape Architect Manager. Responsibilities:
- Assist in the construction of hardscape features such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls
- Use hand tools and power tools to complete assigned tasks
- Perform pruning, edging, and trimming of lawns and landscape beds, shrubs
- Dig trenches for irrigation systems, drainage pipes or other landscape installations
- Assist with the installation of irrigation systems, drainage systems, paver walkways/patios/pool surrounds
- Operate landscaping equipment such as trimmers, weed-wackers and blowers
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area
Requirements:
- Ability to perform physical labor and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Possess a driver's license and reliable transportation
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in landscaping
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work well in a team environment
