Landscape Architect jobs in Rock Island, IL

Job Overview:

We are seeking skilled and experienced Landscape Foreman and Laborers to join our team. Prior experience with hardscape and softscape installation is required. Experience operating heavy machinery is preferred.

Duties:

• Install landscape features including paver patios, block retaining walls, water features, pools, landscape lighting, landscape beds, plants, mulch, landscape rock, etc.
• Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, wheel loaders, skid steers, mini skids, etc.
• Work with hand tools such as rakes, shovels, etc.
• Lift between 50-90 pounds daily
• Snow removal during winter months is required (bonus pay for snow removal)

Experience and Abilities:

• Proven experience and general construction knowledge in hardscape and softscape installations
• Proficient in operating landscaping equipment such as heavy machinery, small engine machines, and hand tools.
• Ability to read landscape plans, site plans, and construction details.
• Ability to solve problems that arise during project installations.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
• Extra pay for CDL holders.

Requirements:

• Must have landscape installation experience
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work
• Must own a smartphone

Schedule:

• Typical schedule is 10-hour days Monday-Thursday.
• Schedule may vary, weather dependent.
• Extended/overtime hours may occur.

Pay: $22.00 - $31.00 per hour
