Landscape Architect Manager supervises all related activities of a staff of landscape architects and technicians. Oversees, manages, and schedules the development of exterior spaces and physical environments, the development of schematic designs and construction details, and is ultimately responsible for final project. Being a Landscape Architect Manager requires a bachelor's degree in a related field. Typically reports to a top management. The Landscape Architect Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Landscape Architect Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     This position involves:

    • Collaborative work with senior landscape architects and a diverse team of professionals;
    • Preparation of conceptual designs and graphic illustrations for design solutions;
    • Regional Master plans;
    • Creation of Design Development packages;
    • Development of bid drawings and specifications;
    • Performance of construction administration services including site visits;
    • Completion of project management tasks with the assistance from senior landscape architect;
    • Managing and directing up and coming staff.

    Qualifications

    • BS in Landscape architecture from an accredited program;
    • Experience with site layout, grading, and stormwater design;
    • Experience with master planning, site design, landscape design, and land development;
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Adobe Suite;
    • 10   years of experience;
    • Landscape Architecture Registration a plus ;
    • Staff Mentoring Experience; 
    • Experience in leading public engagement;
    • Lumion and SketchUp Experience;
    • Hand Graphic Expertise.
