Landscape Architect Manager supervises all related activities of a staff of landscape architects and technicians. Oversees, manages, and schedules the development of exterior spaces and physical environments, the development of schematic designs and construction details, and is ultimately responsible for final project. Being a Landscape Architect Manager requires a bachelor's degree in a related field. Typically reports to a top management. The Landscape Architect Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Landscape Architect Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. We are hiring FULL TIME (Will consider PART TIME) to fill positions on our LANDSCAPE CREW. Quality of work is very important; working well with others, more so. Pride in your work is a must!
Work includes, but is not limited to: Bed Preparation, Perennial, Shrub and Small Tree Planting, Pruning, Hedge Trimming, Weeding, Mowing, Grading, Lawn Seeding, Sod Installation, Mulching, Leaf Clean-up and overall Estate Care. Experience with related tools is helpful.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS -
Must be capable of detail oriented results.
Must have a strong work ethic, positive attitude, energetic pace and the willingness/desire to learn.
Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation to our farm. Transportation to and from worksites is provided in our vehicles.
Need to be prompt and reliable.
A background check is required.
Must speak passable English.
Must be in good health and capable of sometimes strenuous work in variable weather conditions.
Horticultural Licenses: Pesticide, Hoisting a plus.
Must find the commute to Richmond, Rhode Island acceptable.
