Position Description
The Michigan High-speed Internet Office (MIHI) is on the lookout for passionate Regional Digital Coordinators (RDC) to join its statewide Digital Navigator Network in partnership with the American Connection Corps. As an RDC, you’ll be at the forefront of supporting your community through hands-on digital skills programming. This role provides direct digital skills support, assists to build digital skills training and education materials, and works with statewide partners to improve digital skills, broadband, and connectivity access through the Michigan High-speed Internet Office (MIHI).
The role will work directly with participants identified to have digital literacy challenges to assess their needs and ensure they are empowered and prepared for their telehealth experience. The Regional Digital Coordinator will collaborate on the creation and dissemination of culturally and linguistically appropriate digital and literacy education and training materials.
The Regional Digital Coordinator will be plugged into state, federal, philanthropic, and nonprofit resources to assist participants with broadband and connectivity, digital skills, and other socioeconomic needs to be able to assist participants to access these services. Finally, they will play a role in ensuring that digital literacy processes are culturally and linguistically appropriate, with an eye toward digital equity.
