Job Overview:
As a Baker/Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for our customers while ensuring the highest standards of quality in both our baked goods and coffee. You will be responsible for baking a variety of pastries and breads, as well as preparing and serving our specialty coffee drinks. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about food and coffee, has a strong work ethic, and enjoys being part of a collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities:

Baking Duties:

• Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, breads, and other baked goods from scratch, adhering to recipes and quality standards.
• Ensure all baked items are fresh, visually appealing, and meet our high standards of taste and quality.
• Maintain a clean and organized baking area, following food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Assist in inventory management and ingredient sourcing to ensure freshness and quality.

Barista Duties:

• Prepare and serve specialty coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages with precision and care.
• Engage with customers to provide exceptional service and create a welcoming environment.
• Educate customers about our coffee offerings, brewing methods, and food pairings.
• Operate coffee equipment, including espresso machines, grinders, and brewers, with skill and knowledge.

General Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with team members to create a positive and efficient working environment.
• Assist with daily operations, including cleaning, stocking, and maintaining equipment.
• Participate in ongoing training to improve baking and coffee-making skills

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in baking and/or barista work preferred, with a strong emphasis on sourdough baking.
• Passion for specialty coffee and a desire to learn more about the craft.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
