Job Summary

The successful applicant will join an elite group of individuals charged with implementing and delivering all aspects of Exegy feed handler products. This role is focused on ensuring the software products have been designed, implemented, and delivered to a common market data model that allows our customers to maintain their edge in the most challenging IT-dependent sector in the world.

This will require an individual with excellent analytic skills, meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work with multiple engineering teams and stakeholders. It will be a very challenging and rewarding role ideally suited to a person who is willing to learn and with a desire for career progression.

Responsibilities

• Provision financial market data content expertise to the teams across the Exegy organisation
• Develop Exegy Market Data Model to include new technologies and asset classes
• Support the onboarding of all new market data venues required by feed handlers, market gateways and other products
• Define and promote good data normalisation practice for key trading events, principles, and governance
• Develop processes and tools to enhance the quality and efficiency of market data management within Exegy
• Analyse financial market data to fulfil responsibilities as listed above
• Work with key stakeholders across the business (i.e. Development, QA and Product Management)
• Create, update, and publish feed documentation
• Any other tasks that are required within the scope of the team

Our Ideal Candidate Has:

• Degree in IT, Engineering, Business, or related discipline
• SQL, relational database experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, specifically Microsoft Excel
• Experience working in financial services required; specific understanding of Financial Markets – the trading of financial instruments (Equities, Derivatives, Fixed Income, FX) preferred
• Previous experience in a data analytics role or using data analytics tools
• Experience working with development and QA teams
• Effective communication – good oral and written interpersonal skills adequate for dealing & communicating clearly with people across all levels of the organisation
• Excellent problem solving and analytical abilities
• Good documentation and presentation skills
• Ability to work as a self-starter requiring limited supervision
• Proven track record of exceptional performance, high productivity, and meeting deadlines
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
• Highly motivated with desire to learn and broaden knowledge in a fast-paced environment
• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodology
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Computer programming, scripting, Linux experience preferred
