We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Buyer. This individual will be responsible for shaping the merchandise assortment for our store locations and e-commerce platform, ensuring a curated collection that aligns with INTERMIX's brand aesthetic and customer preferences. The Buyer will also play a pivotal role in developing and nurturing strategic partnerships with 3rd party sellers to expand our marketplace.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive merchandise assortment strategy for INTERMIX stores and e-commerce, considering customer preferences, market trends, and sales data.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendors while actively seeking new partnerships. Negotiate terms, pricing, and exclusivity agreements to ensure optimal product selection and profitability.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to expand INTERMIX's marketplace through the onboarding of 3rd party sellers. Lead negotiations and establish mutually beneficial partnerships with brands to enhance the product offering.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to make informed decisions on product selection.
• Ensure seamless integration of buying strategies across both physical stores and the online platform, creating a cohesive and engaging shopping experience for customers.
• Monitor and analyze inventory levels, sell-through rates, and other key performance indicators. Develop and implement inventory optimization strategies to maximize sales and minimize excess stock.
• Generate and analyze regular reports on sales performance, inventory turnover, and other relevant metrics. Use insights to refine buying strategies and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Buyer in the fashion retail industry, preferably with a focus on luxury or contemporary brands.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions based on insights.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Omnichannel experience is a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in CA or NY, INTERMIX includes a reasonable estimate of the salary or hourly rate range for this role. This accounts for the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications.

A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $130,000 per year to $160,000 per year.
