The Lead Buyer assists the management team in ensuring the ongoing success of the Buyback department and its day-to-day operation.
Roles and Responsibilities

Demonstrates product knowledge and expertise in Buyback.

Awareness of store inventory and trends in Buyback.

Maintains merchandising standards in Buyback to company policies and procedures.

Ensures efficient evaluation, processing, and/or merchandising of product.

Assists Managers with the training and development of Buyers.

Reviews buying reports for all buyers to ensure compliance with company policies and standards.

Audits buyback throughout the day to ensure all policies and procedures are being followed.

Ensures all No Retail product is moved to the back room daily.

Creates features for area as assigned by Manager.

Successfully promotes all Company initiatives when interacting with customers.

Provides the highest level of customer service to each customer.

Ensures customers receive a fast and friendly purchasing experience.

Researches and inputs product and customer information into the system according Company procedure.

Provides quotes to customers for purchase of product and authorizes the intake of product into store inventory.

Monitors and maintain assigned area’s cleanliness, providing a clean workplace which includes dusting, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, and assisting in the general maintenance of the building.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent

Customer service experience required, buying experience preferred

Knowledgeable about product, with ability to research market trends
