Lead Construction Representative jobs in Norfolk, VA

Coastal Gunite Construction Company, founded in 1983, performs infrastructure rehabilitation work in the Eastern United States. We are looking for experienced and dependable skilled personnel for bridge repair projects in the Hampton Roads area. The ideal candidate will have several years of civil or marine construction experience.

Qualification/Skills/Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in heavy civil and/or marine construction
• Strong knowledge of hand tools and power tools
• Have outstanding attendance and ability to communicate with others
• Ability to lead a crew (if asked)
• Reliable transportation and solid work ethic are required
• Motivated worker not needing constant direction or oversight

Some tasks include:

• Perform various tasks with hand tools and power tools
• Concrete demolition
• Scaffold installation & take-down
• Sandblasting
• Concrete placement, and associated support activities.
• Work well with others and follow directions.

Physical demands:

• Must be able to work outdoors on feet all day.
• Stamina required. Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds.
• Must be able to pass a respirator fit test and wear a respirator if/when required.
