PositionSummary:
LEAD Technicalhas partnered with aChattanooga, TNarea general contractor and seeksa skilled andseasonedCommercial Construction Project Manager. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of construction activities at one or more job sites, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and meet cost and profit objectives. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction project management.The Project Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling resources for all anticipated and approved construction projects. This includes providing leadership and direction to ensure successful project completion.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
Administrative:
- Requisition, compile, and submit project paperwork on schedule (e.g., receipts, timesheets, submittals, lien waivers, progress billings).
- Provide timely, accurate, concise written and verbal communication on contract status to customers, management, and the project team.
- Develop and maintain project schedules.
Skill Set:
- Engage in sales activities to find new clients.
- Lead contract negotiations with subcontractors.
- Create and improve construction processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and set best-practice standards.
- Collaborate to develop budgets and deliver on time and according to requirements.
Management:
- Lead constructability review meetings to determine cost-effective construction methods.
- Work with customers to resolve issues and manage costs related to changes.
- Review proposals and contract requirements, ensuring accurate cost estimation and profit targets.
- Coordinate schedules with superintendents and ensure construction activities align with material delivery dates.
- Manage and direct the Site Construction Supervisor and other field staff.
- Oversee construction finances, including reviewing and approving subcontractor invoices and initiating customer invoice processes.
- Maintain excellent customer relationships.
- Oversee design and construction activities to ensure projects remain on schedule and budget.
- Manage design consultants, contractors, governmental agencies, utility providers, and others to deliver projects on time.

- Ensure compliance with safety practices and OSHA guidelines.
- Plan, organize, direct, and control the execution of construction contracts to meet schedules, cost, quality, and safety objectives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Managerfor a general contractorinthecommercial constructionspace.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering projects.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
