We have an exciting opening available for a senior project/program management consultant with PMO leadership experience. This key role will involve planning, driving, and overseeing complex technology initiatives. The consultant will work in partnership with diverse vendor teams and will report directly to leadership at a state government agency. Candidates must have the ability to develop and nurture a high-performing project management team that can help deliver results for the agency.• Acting as Beacon's primary representative embedded within the client governmental agency.• Providing executive-level management consultation to the client.• Ensuring the timely performance and completion of all contractual obligations.• Formulating guidelines, policies, and procedures for a project management organization (PMO).• Managing daily operations of a (PMO).• Organizing and directing the overall performance of a team of senior project managers.• Formulating organizational strategy and directing major strategic initiatives.• Ensuring that goals and objectives are accomplished within budgetary parameters.• Developing and maintaining productive client and vendor relationships.• Assisting on large, complex, multi-disciplinary engagements.• Formulating and enforcing work standards.• Allocating financial and human resources and material assets.Qualifications:• Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, ideally in a government agency setting.• Must have some experience working in Florida State Government—whether contractor, through a vendor, or as an employee.• Experience managing large, complex, IT projects in technical domains such as user experience design, custom software application development, software maintenance, data engineering, analytics, and others.• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage complex client relationships and team dynamics.• Experience working in multi-vendor environments in state and/or federal government.• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage complex client relationships and team dynamics.• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with an aptitude for making data-driven decisions.• Proficiency in project management software tools and methodologies, including some familiarity with ServiceNow• Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, Project Management, or a related field.• An advanced degree or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
