About the role
Job Overview
The Regional Outage Lean Manager (ROLM) is responsible for improving outage execution at our 11 South Region facilities through applying Lean Manufacturing and Project Management tools and techniques to optimize outage preparation, enhance outage communication and decision making, and ultimately to ensure completion of daily outage activities.
This person will be focused on specific outages, prioritized by risk, and will work closely with the Regional Team to understand, forecast, track and improve the financial P&L performance and EBITDA contributions of their assigned outages. They play a key role in identifying and eliminating waste, driving continuous improvement on outage activities, and ensuring an On Time Delivery and One Time Start Up. They establish & champion best practices in outage management for major maintenance and capital investment projects, aligned with Covanta's corporate maintenance initiatives.
The ROLM will assist the facility maintenance managers / supervisors and their teams. The ROLM has excellent organizational and leadership abilities that demonstrate a good understanding of foundational maintenance activities that assure a high level of uptime of facility equipment.
