Duties And Responsibilities

• Manages the Assembly and Test teams by ensuring the quality and quantity of work produced and overseeing the team’s daily workflow, assignments, resource allocation, and work schedules. Prepares performance evaluations, makes salary recommendations, and participates in recruitment and hiring activities as needed.
• Develops team’s job results by training, coaching, and counseling team members, as well as proactively addressing employee issues and performance standards in collaboration with HR and Senior Management.
• Works with the Assembly and Test teams to ensure work orders are completed on schedule, labor resources are properly allocated, and jobs flow through the production process in a timely fashion.
• Identifies, develops ROI, and implements process improvements.
• Partners with the Production Control Manager to maintain an even and appropriate workload for the manufacturing team.
• Communicates with the purchasing team to ensure that shortages are identified and resolved in order to meet customer and internal due dates.
• Coordinates with sales team representatives and the Production Control Manager to adjust schedules as needed to balance workload and meet customer demand.
• Collaborates with the Manufacturing Engineering team to identify and implement improvements to the manufacturing process and introduce new products to the manufacturing team.
• Documents production nonconformances and work with Quality to define root cause and corrective actions.
• Identifies, develops, monitors, and maintains key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Develops and maintains ongoing programs for training and continuous improvement.
• Maintains safe working conditions.  Adheres to all safety regulations, policies and procedures including department specific requirements.
