Lean Manufacturing Specialist, Sr. implements Lean Manufacturing goals and strategies for improving the operations and processes within the organization. Evaluates all continuous improvement activities and develops plans to optimize performance and processes. Being a Lean Manufacturing Specialist, Sr. employs Lean methodologies and tools in order to accomplish business objectives. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Lean Manufacturing Specialist, Sr. also requires training and Lean certification through an accredited organization. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. To be a Lean Manufacturing Specialist, Sr. typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.   • you will be responsible for

    • Utilizing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to identify improvement opportunities that lead to year over year cost savings
    • Cultivating a culture of continuous improvement at all levels through use of Root Cause analysis, PDCA methodologies, GEMBA management, etc.
    • Supporting the Continuous Improvement program for the site to deliver improved results in Cost, Quality and Customer Service
    • Leading improvement workshops, kaizen events, chalk circles, VSM and other improvement events.
    • Building skills and capabilities of others in Lean methods, Cost Savings and OEE / OLE

    • Know and can use Lean or Six Sigma improvement methods.
    • Know and use Industrial Engineering methods such as Time Studies, Flow Analysis and System Optimization
    • Plan and facilitate workshops and improvement events
    • Can analyze and identify improvement areas and approaches through lean methods, statistical analysis, six sigma or industrial engineering methods.
    • Strong collaboration, influencing, and project management skills, and the ability to drive change projects with cross-functional partners to conclusion
    • Driven, self-directing, goal oriented and able to prioritize workload in an agile environment

    Required skills to have for the success of this role

    • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience required
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in manufacturing operations
    • Financial acumen with advanced understanding of BOMs, value add, costing, and overhead
    • Experience of operating as part of a site cross-functional team, managing stakeholder relationships, and reporting up to senior management level
    • Excellent oral communications, business writing and presentation skills
    • Willing to travel up to 10%
