POSITION SUMMARY
Provide comprehensive child development services and education through lesson planning and daily routines. Shows leadership skills in the classroom, working to create a high-quality environment where children can develop personal relationships, experiment, make choices, solve problems, and develop age-appropriate social-emotional and self-help skills. Responsible as the primary caregiver of assigned children. Brings enthusiasm and passion for early childhood education and shares experiences as part of a team, fostering a positive environment. BASIC FUNCTIONThe Nutrition Coordinator is responsible for planning and executing the center’s meal program, adhering to CACFP, licensing, and program guidelines. This role encompasses preparing and serving nutritious meals, developing quarterly menus, preparing food and nutritional supply purchase requests, and ensuring health and safety standards compliance. Additionally, the Nutrition Coordinator is tasked to maintain accurate records, complete required training, and contribute to program efforts. Beyond the kitchen, this position involves engaging with children through nutrition education and activities, supporting classroom teachers, and fostering team communication. This role demands culinary, administrative, and interpersonal skills to support the center’s mission of providing high-quality child development services.
