Amazon’s Global Security Operations (GSO) Training Team is seeking an instructional systems design expert and experienced content developer to elevate and enable our field operators globally. This designer will excel at needs analysis, project management, and operationalizing learning programs for scale and sustainability across geographies.
GSO TT's primary responsibility is to help our audiences be more effective and productive in their jobs. Candidates should be analytical problem solvers who are comfortable in a fast-paced environment. They will transform our programs through technology, so we can easily scale to meet our learners’ needs worldwide. They will champion the learners’ voice to shape how they learn and develop their skills. To be successful in this role this designer will need to excel at partnering with customers and stakeholders to align strategies and level-set on expectations and operate with a high-level of autonomy to deliver solutions which are on time, on budget, and yield measurable results. Applicants must have a track record for performing well in spite of complex or ambiguous challenges.
This candidate will have experience designing training for a broad range of media and interaction types with specific skill in blended course design through developing e-learning, videos, assessments, as well as synchronous and asynchronous instructor-led training. The selected candidate will be an innovative storyteller with strong technical acumen.

Key job responsibilities
- Develop e-learning, videos, reference material, and other creative assets
- Manage multiple complex curricula development projects simultaneously
- Establish relevant, observable, and measurable goals and objectives
- Right-size solutions by balancing customer needs against business realities
- Develop innovative and simplified solutions which maximize knowledge and skill acquisition (capability) while minimizing the operational burden (e.g. seat time) associated with training
- Drive content agility to develop multi-use learning objects and solutions
- Plan and write content for training programs using rapid instructional design
- Contribute to the improvement of processes and curriculum templates to minimize the development time for new training materials
- Leverage data to drive design decisions
- Drive learner engagement through refined visual facilitation and highly interactive content
- Ensure that style guides and internal review processes are followed

About the team
The Global Secuity Academy (GSA) is the official training team for the Global Security Operations (GSO). A sub-team of GSA, the Learning Experience Design and Shared Services team works with Amazon Security and Loss Prevention professionals to drive performance through innovative training design. We develop inclusive, immersive, and interactive learning experiences to a worldwide audience that inspires curiosity, facilitates learner transfer, and delivers measurable results.

- 1 years of program or project management experience
- 1 years of professional experience in an Instructional Design role with a focus on content development
- Experience with project prioritization and management
- Proficient with one or more authoring tools (e.g. Articulate, Camtasia, Synthesia, etc.)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instructional Design, Education Technology, or similar field
- Project management experience
- Some familiarity with Adult Learning Theories and Instructional Design Best Practices
- Experience with designing Learner Evaluations
- Experience using AI in Corporate Learning environments

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $47,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $107,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
