Our customer, a technology company, is looking for a Legal Operations Manager to work full-time for 6 months (perm possible). This is a remote position and requires 15% travel.
Required Qualifications
- Expertise in global strategy, planning, execution, and operations.
- Adept at global outside counsel management program, overseeing the legal billing and project management teams, and managing outside counsel budgeting and forecasting for the legal department.
- Ability to modernize and innovate delivery models to increase scalability and enable sustainable business growth.
- In-depth understanding of law firm pricing, billing practices, and knowledge of outside counsel management programs for large, multi-national companies.
- Demonstrable experience with designing, negotiating, and evaluating fee agreements and rates, including alternative fee agreements.
- Understand stakeholder needs and create new processes to increase productivity.
- Execute technology and legal operation initiatives to build a core legal data set.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to reduce inefficiencies, improve workflows, and drive the use of technology and automation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 7 years of in-house legal operations experience.
- Strong technical skills; proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Tableau, PowerBI; familiarity with Legal technology (e.g. Serengeti, TyMetrix T360, Onit or other eBilling tools).
Skills And Knowledge:
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the demonstrated ability to work collaboratively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including solid presentation skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of document management and knowledge management.
- Organizational, project planning, and management skills
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of discretion in managing confidential and protected private information.
Work Location: Remote, 15% Travel Required
