```Duties```
- Transcribe legal documents, correspondence, and memos accurately and efficiently
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and meetings
- Organize and maintain legal files and documents
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and court dates for attorneys
- Prepare and file legal documents with courts and government agencies
- Manage attorney calendars and ensure deadlines are met
- Daily communication with clients, opposing counsel and court personnel
- Perform general administrative tasks such as answering phones, taking messages, and handling correspondence
```Skills```
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
- Proficient maneuvering through the court system phones/websites/personnel
- Excellent transcription skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in data entry and document management
- Ability to conduct interviews with clients or witnesses when necessary
- Knowledge of litigation processes and procedures
This position requires a candidate who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a legal secretary or paralegal. A strong understanding of law and legal procedures is essential.
