Legal Services Director oversees the activities of the organization's legal department. Provides legal advice, interpretation, and guidance to senior management and officers regarding contracts, state/federal regulatory requirements, intellectual property or trademark protection, and other business matters. Being a Legal Services Director reviews all information and prepares defense for any legal actions against the organization or advises on prosecuting lawsuits on behalf of the organization. Coordinates and reviews the work of internal or external legal staff. Additionally, Legal Services Director manages staff of attorneys. Requires a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. Requires admittance to a state bar. Typically reports to top management. The Legal Services Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget.     Wells Fargo is seeking a Business Execution Director for Deposit and Legal Services that will be responsible for the risk and control environment across Deposit Legal Services which includes 3 RAUs (14 L2 processes) and will drive key initiatives and programs that include responsibility for Issues and Corrective Actions, RCSA Trigger Events including State MCRs, EBCE, IT&V and Regulator audit.

    In this role, you will:
    • Manage risk and control environment across Deposit Legal Services which includes 3 RAUs (14 L2 processes). This leader will drive work that will include responsibility for Issues and Corrective Actions, RCSA Trigger Events including State MCRs, EBCE, IT&V and Regulator audits, and will also be a key stakeholder in RCSA annual affirmations.
    • Oversee the DLS Quality program including setting quality thresholds and conducting inline quality reviews.
    • Oversee the DLS Non-Technology Product Delivery team, which collaborates with key stakeholders to resolve issues and achieve business objectives.
    • Dotted line oversight to the DLS Learning and Development team which creates procedures, training curriculum, and training facilitation.
    • Manage and develop multiple business functional areas with focus on implementing and delivering long-term strategies, policies, and process advancements for cross-functional stakeholders, and internal and external partners associated with the area of Business Execution or who are affected by its outcomes.
    • Identify Business Execution opportunities and strategies for process improvement and risk control development over the long-term to ensure operational excellence and process efficiency.
    • Lead Business Execution team for assigned initiatives ensuring solutions are designed, integrated, and controlled to improve effectiveness, limit risk exposure, and create efficiencies as appropriate.
    • Interpret and develop a range of policies and procedures for long-range and fundamental retooling of perspective, approach, culture, quality, relationships, operations, and capabilities.
    • Collaborate and influence functional management to obtain resources, influence outcomes, address conflict, and ensure alignment with Wells Fargo strategies or policies and business line objectives.
    • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Business Execution
    • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy.
    Required Qualifications:
    • 8 years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, including Management experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
    • 4 years of management experience
    Desired Qualifications:
    • 12 years of experience in banking, financial services strategic banking business execution large programs
    • 8 years of management experience
    • Experience in leading large business strategic program and initiatives and management of a team and driving strategic decisions to resolve highly complex issues to meet higher risk deliverables.
    • Strong RCSA Experience
    • Strong experience with issue management, corrective action, and risk and control program experience
    • Ability to deliver presentations and reporting for an executive audience.
    • Strong analytical, financial, and business operation process reengineering acumen
    • Experience and/or exposure to risk and compliance disciplines.
    • Strong collaboration and partnering skills.
    • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Ability to take initiative, identify opportunities and implement change.
    • Ability to create and improve process through strategic thinking.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability is important.
    • Knowledge and understanding of consumer products, policies, and procedures; within a call center environment.
    • Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities.
    Job Expectations:
    • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
