Legal Services Director oversees the activities of the organization's legal department. Provides legal advice, interpretation, and guidance to senior management and officers regarding contracts, state/federal regulatory requirements, intellectual property or trademark protection, and other business matters. Being a Legal Services Director reviews all information and prepares defense for any legal actions against the organization or advises on prosecuting lawsuits on behalf of the organization. Coordinates and reviews the work of internal or external legal staff. Additionally, Legal Services Director manages staff of attorneys. Requires a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. Requires admittance to a state bar. Typically reports to top management. YWCA Tulsa is seeking a full-time Director of Legal Services to oversee legal for immigrants and refugees. A key goal of this role will be to lead a team working to improve economic mobility for immigrants and refugees in the Tulsa community and increase civic engagement. The ideal candidate will be a passionate advocate of immigrants and refugees, with a strong background in immigration legal services.
To achieve these goals, the Director will be responsible for ensuring successful program implementation, grant implementation, data tracking, and program oversight. This role will directly oversee a growing team and will focus on successfully providing programs and services to meet the growing population of our immigrant and refugee communities, as well as the evolving needs of people arriving from different countries.
